Working with us

Two things decide whether an offshore build works: accessibility and communication.

Accessibility is a commercial risk in the US in a way it is not elsewhere. Web accessibility lawsuits and demand letters are common, and they target retail and service sites of all sizes. Building to WCAG 2.2 AA from the start costs far less than remediating later, and it is straightforward if it is designed in rather than bolted on. We treat it as part of the build, not an add-on.

The second factor is how the project is run. A US client working with a team abroad needs predictable communication, not availability at every hour. Our working day overlaps the US morning on the East Coast, so calls and decisions land inside your business hours. Work is scoped fixed and billed against milestones, with written updates, so progress does not depend on you chasing.

Technically the requirements are familiar: Stripe or Shopify Payments for cards and wallets, ACH for larger B2B transactions, sales tax calculated by nexus rather than guessed at, and US hosting with CDN delivery. Privacy expectations vary by state, with California setting the strictest bar, so we build consent and data handling to the higher standard rather than the minimum.

Practical detail

US specifics we plan for.

Accessibility litigation is real
Demand letters are common and inexpensive to send. A site built to AA and tested is both a better product and a much smaller target.
Sales tax by nexus
Rates and obligations vary by state and change. We connect a tax provider rather than hard-coding rates, and set up exemption handling for wholesale.
State privacy laws
California and several other states set requirements beyond the federal baseline. We build consent and data handling to the strictest applicable standard.
Time zone overlap
Our day covers the US morning on the East Coast. West Coast clients get a fixed daily window plus asynchronous updates, which in practice works well.
Contracting and payment
We quote and invoice in USD, contract clearly on ownership and scope, and bill against milestones rather than hourly.
Hosting in the US
Infrastructure in US regions with CDN delivery, which keeps latency low and satisfies most client data questions.
What it costs

What changes the price.

Scope
Unique templates
We count designed templates rather than pages. A large site on a few templates is cheaper than a small one with bespoke layouts.
Accessibility
AA target or formal audit
Building to AA is included. A formal third-party audit with a remediation cycle is quoted separately.
Commerce
Tax, payments, integrations
Tax provider setup, payment routes, subscriptions and ERP or CRM connections each add build time.
Questions

Working with a US client: common questions

How do you handle the time difference?

Our working day overlaps the US morning on the East Coast, so calls and decisions happen inside your business hours. For West Coast clients we hold a fixed daily window and work asynchronously around it, with written updates so nothing waits on a call.

Will the site be ADA accessible?

We build to WCAG 2.2 AA, which is the standard courts and settlements generally reference, and we test with keyboard and screen reader rather than relying on an automated scan. If you need a formal audit and accessibility statement, we can arrange one.

How is sales tax handled?

Through a tax provider connected to your store, so rates are calculated by nexus and stay current as rules change. We also configure exemption certificates for wholesale customers.

Do you contract in the US?

We contract and invoice in USD, with clear terms on scope, ownership and milestones. Projects are fixed-price rather than hourly, which removes most of the risk clients worry about with offshore teams.

Who owns the code and the accounts?

You do. Domain, hosting, analytics, repositories and code are all in your company’s name, documented, and handed over at launch.

Why work with a team in Lebanon?

You get senior people directly rather than an account manager relaying to juniors, at rates that fund more design and engineering time for the same budget. The trade-off is time zone, which the morning overlap largely solves.
